I have been a ship
Run ashore
Buried beneath sand
sails tattered and torn
I have ventured far
From familiar harbor
Fighting my will
To release this anchor
A pirate of gold
And treasures unknown
Thirsting for knowledge
On a self seeking voyage
The ocean how it calls
With words I cannot speak
Promising pleasure
Far beyond my dreams
Do I dare venture back
Into unchartered waters
A home for sons
And wayward daughters
So many things
Still a mystery
Can I unearth this ship
Discovery my destiny
And what is this treasure
I hope to find
Priceless pearl

I saw a picture, "On Dangerous Waters" by Ruskatukka and it inspired me to write this poem. Sometimes I don't feel creative and this picture captured what that feels like to me. The greatest treasure to me is that of a creative mind. Hope you like it.
